Here is how the process works:
Step 1: Free Inspection
We offer free inspections of your property to locate all damages. Upon locating damages, we work with you to identify the source of the damages. Based on our experience, we will advise you whether filing a claim is appropriate or not. If so, we work with you to get the claim filed by providing your insurance company’s contact number for claims.
Step 2: File a Claim
We will inspect your property for damage as the result of severe weather to see whether or not you qualify to file a claim. Often times, damages occurs that you may not immediately see. We will help you recognize the property that was damaged and the causes of it. If there is sufficient damage to your property, at that point you should file a claim with your insurance company. When filing your claim, be sure you specify the types and causes of damage that we identified. For example, if you call in a claim due to hail damage and later come to find out there is also wind damage from the same storm, you may be charged twice for your deductible, one for each cause of damage.
Step 3: Meet Adjuster
Once the claim is filed, an adjuster will call you to make an appointment for inspection. We will meet your insurance claim adjuster onsite for the official inspection of your property to make sure no damage is overlooked. This includes getting up on the roof with them and performing a complete 360 degree survey of your property. Once the Adjuster’s inspection is complete, the insurance company will give you a report based on the findings of the Adjuster and how much they are offering for the repairs.
Step 4: Restore Your Property
We perform an estimate of how much it is going to cost to restore your property. If the amount the insurance company is offering is less than the actual cost, we will work with the insurance company to make sure they understand the full scope of the damages and an adequate settlement is reached. Born Carpentry promises you will not pay one penny out of pocket except for your deductible for the claim. As a settlement is reached, we will go to work restoring your property damage. We take pride in our quality of work and taking care of the little things like cleaning up the job site. Once the work is complete, we will review it with you. When you are completely satisfied with the work, we will submit the final invoice to the insurance company. Remember, roofing work is backed by an industry-leading 10 year workmanship warranty and a 5 year workmanship warranty for siding!
